God forbid we should all be obliged to move to Florida.
Didn’t Jesus set an example? Lets look at Jesus for a minute. What kind of people did he associate with? Today’s lepers are sex offenders so it was in his day as well. Remember the woman caught in adultery. Did he stone her after all he was the only one there without sin? How did Jesus handle that situation? There was a harlot that washed his feed with her tears. Did he rebuke her? There was a woman he met at a well that was sleeping around with different men (not her husband). Did he show hatred towards her? No, but he did call her out on that sin and even revealed to her that he was the Christ. Churches that support the sex offender registry are going against the Gospel and the fundamental teachings of Christ Jesus. The Registry is a LIVING DEATH it is evil and it is Wrong! TRUTH
Fortunately, I’ve found a church here in California that, while they haven’t made a name for themselves for ministering to sex offenders, they have openly accepted me and do not hold the label of sex offender against me at all. In fact, I’m one of the leaders of my church, and often the go-to guy when our church needs something done. Churches like this do exist, unfortunately, from what I’ve heard from other registrants, they may be few and far between out here in California.
